Jostedalsbreen glacier is the largest glacier on the European mainland and is a national park covering almost 500 km2. Jostedalen Bref¿rarlag offers a varied range of guided walks in well-known glacier tongues of the main glacier, such as Nigardsbreen and FŒbergst¿lsbreen. Breheimsenteret is the information centre for the Jostedal Glacier National Park, and offers further information about the glacier, and also about the history of the glacier, which can provide an additional experience of nature.

Urnes stave church is the oldest stave church in Norway, built around 1130. The decoration of the north portal indicates that the church is built upon parts of an even older church. The wood used in the north portal dates back to 1050, and the decoration here has given origin to the Urnes style. Urnes stave church is included in UNESCOs World Heritage List, a list containing significant buildings of great worthy of preservation for the future, and includes buildings like the Pyramides of Egypt and the Castle in Versailles.

Veitastrond is a small outlying village with the beautiful mountain farm Tungest¿len. From Tungest¿len you can walk the valley of Austerdalen, and discover the glacier tongue Austerdalsbreen, generated by the three glacier branches Tor, Odin and Loke. This magnificent ice scenery is a wonderful view, and definitely worth seeing!

The highest mountain pass in Northern Europe is the Sognefjell mountain area between Lom in Gudbrandsdalen and Luster. Route 55 between Lom and Luster has the status of National Toruist Route because of the magnificent and wild mountain scenery, and reaches its highest point at 1430 metres.

Sogn Fjord Museum (Heibergske Samlinger), situated in magnificent surroundings between Sogndal and Kaupanger, is an activity museum for the whole family. The museum has exhibitions revealing the way of life of people in Sogn from the middles ages until present time. With its free drop of 218 metres, Feigumfossen waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Scandinavia. From the National Toruist Route on the northern side of the Lusterfjord you will get an excellent view of the waterfall opposite. You can also explore the waterfall by taking the short walk into it, or admire it from your sightseeing boat.

The Stone Church of Dale in the village Luster is built around 1200, and is characterized by Gotic architecture and wall paintings from the 15th century.
