About Hafslo
Hafslo is a small village with about 1200 inhabitants. The center of Hafslo is located 2 kilometres from Route 55 and 10 minutes from the center of Sogndal.
In Hafslo there is an elementary school, a lower secondary school, an upper secondary school and two kindergartens, all situated in the center of Hafslo. In Hafslo there is also a bank, a bakery, and a grocery shop with a post office.

Centrally situated in Hafslo is the idyllic lake Hafslovatnet, which offers great opportunities for trout fishing. A licence for fishing may be bought at the hotel. In the middle of August every year a fishing festival is arranged.

At Heggmyrane Sogn Skisenter is located. In the winter you can make use of the longest ski tow in the country, slopes demanding different levels of effort, as well as prepared cross-country ski tracks.

Moane is the location of Hafslo football stadium. In June every year Sognefjord cup is arranged, a football cup with more than 300 teams participating.

By the ancient road between Hafslo and Sogndal the river Helvetesfossen is situated, as well as the famous Futespranget. Walking the ancient road, you will also experience Olavskjelda, which according to the legend is known to have a healing effect.

In Hafslo you will also find:

- A pothole with a diameter of 3 meters at Straumane
- Modvo - the remnants of a farm in the Iron Age 300 years B.C.
